“The english is very strong…  It’s exceedingly well-expressed.”  These are the words my lecturer of Creative Writing used to describe my compositions during our class presentations.  Perhaps I’m too demanding, but I’d wished that there were more to my writing than my strong command of english or the clarity with which I expressed my ideas.  I don’t know.  I had hoped for a creative piece of work that stands out.  However, after hearing the work of my fellow classmates, I’ve come to realise I’m perfectly ordinary and predictable in my writing.  And that to me is just bad writing.  One of the reasons journalists and writers get published is because they are able to bring a new angle, a new light, a new way of looking at things to subjects that have been discussed to death.  Without this ability to think out of the box, what we read in the newspapers will be inordinately boring, to say the least. 

On another note, I have two interviews lined up — one for tomorrow, and one for the next day.  Both are not jobs that I want or that I will excel in, because both are sales positions.  So, do I settle?  Or do I continue my search for a job that I like or at least feel that I can do adequately?  If only the only factor that mattered was whether I wanted the job.  Because then the answers will be simple.
